AI Governance for Education (AIGE) was established by Associate Professor Janine Arantes as an interdisciplinary program of research and sector engagement focused on the governance and societal implications of AI and emerging technologies in education. It brings together research, projects, collaborations and applied resources across K-12, TAFE and higher education. AIGE provides a platform for teaching and research leadership across AI governance and policy, institutional accountability, professional practice, data and privacy, psychosocial safety, human and consumer rights, equity and educational decision-making.
